Chronic nonspecific non-ulcerative colitis as multi-factor polyetiological pathology of the intestines in children
The article deals with the current problems of the etiology, pathogenesis, the clinical course of chronic nonspecific non­- ulcerative colitis (CNNC) in children. A working classification of CNNC assisting in understanding of the essence of this disease in children is offered. The informativity of paraclinical studies of the state of the large intestine (endoscopy, irrigography, histology) for making a diagnosis, and also the need for performing morphological examination to verify the diagnosis are emphasized. The significance of sigmoidoscopic, irrigographic examinations and laboratory stool testing as auxiliary methods of diagnosis and differential diagnosis of inflammatory and functional diseases of the large intestine in children are discussed.
